New Media Coordinator
Location – New York, NY

Reports jointly to Marketing Director and Sales Director

New Media Coordinator will work within the Marketing and Sales Departments at leading contemporary art gallery to manage and implement all aspects of new media (including website, new technology, programs, and tools as related to web/visuals/audio etc.).

Requirements:
2-3+ years of experience in web, agency, or related field
Thorough understanding of WordPress (including customizing themes and plugins using PHP)
Comfortable hand-coding HTML and CSS
Some knowledge of Javascript and related libraries such as JQuery and MooTools
Knowledge of video editing, compression and conversion. (Especially relating to conversion for iPad)
Experience with overseeing Audio/Video set-up for events
General knowledge of emerging digital technologies (eBooks, Applications, File Management, etc.)
Acquire and maintain, register and transfer website domain addresses for artists and special projects (godaddy, register.com, etc)
Ability to use Adobe design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
Basic/Intermediate design skill
