Web Developer for Corporate Marketing
The Web Developer for Corporate Marketing on the Web Development team will be responsible for the following: Designing, developing, testing and implementing internet & intranet websites for Corporate Marketing using standard web technologies (e.g., Microsoft). Conduct code reviews with contractors and junior level developers to ensure proper coding techniques and approach as well as adherence to standards. Assist management in the prioritization and planning of work. Support Corporate Marketing websites (e.g., internet & intranet websites). Documentation of changes including functional, technical specifications, and test plans as needed.
Skills in the following technologies are required for this role: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008, C#, XML, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, CSS 2/3, .NET Framework (2.0 – 3.5) Basic knowledge of SQL Operating Systems (Client): Windows 7, WindowsXP, Mac OS X; Operating Systems (Server): Windows 2003 SP2, Windows 2008 Browsers: IE 7/8, Safari 3.x+, Firefox 3.x+ Familiarity with Image Editing Software: Flash, Fireworks/Photoshop Basic knowledge of CMS/WCM (e.g., Interwoven) & SCM (e.g., PVCS, Visual SourceSafe) Social Media Application Development: IDE & SDK’s for Facebook, Twitter Javascript Frameworks (e.g., Jquery)
Experience with the following technologies is not required, but preferred: Sharepoint Portal Server (2007, 2010), Sharepoint Object Model, SilverLight/Flex, 3rd Party Controls for .Net (e.g., Infragistics), Crystal Reports for .NET, Web Services, Active Directory, Citrix Server Microsoft Designer, HTML5, Ajax, Flash CS3+ SQL Server (2005/2008), Web Servers: IIS 6.0 – 8.0 Virtual Machines (e.g., VMWare) Video Encoding (e.g., Sorenson Squeeze) Media Players: RealPlayer, QuickTime, Windows Media Player, Flash Player, 3rd Party Players (e.g., Ooyala, Brightcove) Mobile Platform Application Development: IDE, OS & SDK’s supporting iPhone, iTouch, iPad & Android platforms (e.g., Xcode, Cocoa Touch Framework, Eclipse) a plus, but not required OOAD/UML (Methodology & Tools) Other Browsers (Chrome 8.x)
Professional and Education Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in programming/systems or computer science, specialized training, Microsoft certification, or equivalent work experience required. 2-3 years applications development and support experience including 3 plus years practical experience developing websites using the .NET framework and SQL Server (i.e. stored procedures, PL-SQL, triggers, advanced queries). Experience developing functional and technical specifications, test plans and test cases in support of unit and system testing, using disciplined SDLC and Change Management methodologies. Experience with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting applications issues Experience in preparing and presenting status updates for assigned tasks/projects Demonstrate excellence in documentation and communication skills Demonstrate a sense of urgency, thoroughness and quality towards assigned tasks/goals Strong analytical skills. Ability to quickly handle shifting priorities and work towards agreed upon goals and Client dates. Apparel industry experience a plus.
