Online Designer
Overview: Our client has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Designer to contribute to our in-house creative team. The Online Designer reports to the Online Art Director. We are looking for a candidate with experience in information design and architecture, a focus on usability and strong design & type skills. Responsibilities:· Usability expert. Fluent in web technology. Impeccable design sensibility· Partners with our UX, Site Production and Engineering teams to translate business strategy into creative solutions· Generates multiple comps for each project. Conceptualizes and takes projects through to execution· Has a solid understanding of site functionality, architecture, intuitive user interfaces, and navigation· Operates with a solid grasp of the company aesthetic. Elevates and evolves the site aesthetic while supporting the overall brand direction· Attends meetings as design lead· Stays current with market trends to understand competitive landscape· Implements efficient workflows and processes· Develops design specs for production Skills/Qualifications:· Bachelor’s Degree; minimum 2-3 years of Internet related professional experience· Complete fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver/HTML, and InDesign· Team-oriented and have a collaborative approach to creative development· Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently· Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills· Must have a solid understanding of designing intuitive interfaces
Must have demonstrated expertise in creating online marketing solutions, including e-commerce websites, flash presentations, banner ads, landing pages and email marketing· Innovative design and typographic skills· Knowledge of fashion and retail
