This is feedback from the Hiring Manager. Candidates must have the following:

  • Must have clear understanding of object oriented concepts in PHP 5
  • Should have clear understanding of database concepts and would be great to have hands on Oracle database experience
  • Relative experience on dealing with XML files
  • Relative experience in HTML/JavaScript/CSS/Ajax
  • Relative knowledge of Linux environment
  • Relative knowledge in SOAP, WSDL, Web Services
Description/Comment:
  • Outstanding PHP5 and exceptional JavaScript. Must have extensive experience with Web services, WSDL, XML, and SOAP.
  • 5 to 10 years professional web development experience in the financial industry. Strong analysis, design and implementation experience utilizing Web 2.0 technologies and relational database management systems.
  • Knowledge of Java, IBM Rational Application Developer or equivalent, JavaScript libraries/frameworks (e.g. JQuery), AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS, Oracle, SQL/SQL Developer, Apache, nginx, Linux (Ubuntu), PuTTY/SSH, agile development/XP practices, OO design principles and patterns, secure coding best practices, and National Financial Services xTRADING API is a plus.
  • Responsible for the development of Web-based financial planning and security trading software in a team environment. Actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
